What is Vanguard ZERO?

It is a card battle RPG based on the popular trading card game, Cardfight!! Vanguard. With rules tailored for mobile application, not only can you easily enjoy a Vanguard fight online with other players at any place, any time, you may also enjoy authentic stories from the original animation in Story Mode, and create your own room by placing your favorite characters in My Room, or other single-player features.

Do I need to create an account?

You may simply install the game and start playing right away!

Is it free to play?

The application is free to download and play.
*It contains in-game purchase items available.
*Networking service fees for app download and gameplay shall be paid by the customers.

What are the required device specifications for this application?

You may play with smart phones and tablet computers that operate off iOS and Android OS.

Minimum specifications are:
・iPhone 6S or above (iOS 9.0 or above)
・Android 6.0 or above, device storage of at least 2GB and device memory of 3GB

Recommended specifications are:
・iPhone 8 or above (iOS 12.3.1 or above)
・Android 8 or above, device memory of above 3GB and available device storage of at least 4GB

*Note that under certain circumstances, the application may still not function properly even with the recommended specifications.

How can I link my game account to iOS, Google or Social platforms?

You can set up a “Data Link” in order to transfer your play data from one device to another or to proactively prevent your play data from being lost in the instance you become unable to use your original device (for example, if it is damaged, etc).

How to Perform a “Data Link”

Be sure to read the “Note” section of this notice for important details.

● How to Set Up a Data Link on Your Original Device

1. From the “HOME” screen, tap “MENU”, then “Data Link”.
2. Select the Data Link type you want to use.
*For iOS users, there is also an option to “Sign in with Apple”.


・When Using “Link with Password”

When the “Issue Data Link Password” dialogue box appears, write down your ID and password and keep them in a safe place. Never share your ID and password with others (this ID is separate from your Friend Code).


・When Using “Link with Twitter”, “Link with Facebook”, “Link with Google”, or “Sign in with Apple”

After you tap “OK”, follow the instructions on your screen, log in and proceed to register your Vanguard ZERO play data with your account.
Once your play data is registered with the account you’ve logged into, the Data Link is complete.


To learn how to log in to your existing play data, please read the following section titled “How to Log In with Your Previously Linked Data”.


● How to Log In With Your Previously Linked Data
1. Install “Vanguard ZERO” on your new device.
2. Tap “MENU” on the upper right-hand corner of the title screen.
3. Tap “Log In”.
4. Tap the Data Link type you previously set up.

5. Tap “OK”.

・When Using “Log In with Password”

Enter your User ID and Password into the corresponding sections and tap “OK”.

6. Check your “Player Name” and “Rank” to make sure they are correct, then tap “OK” to complete logging in to your existing play data.


*Paid Gems are not transferred between different OS platforms (iOS and Android).

*The password issued via “Link with Password” expires thirty days after it is issued (after tapping “Link with Password”). You can only use this password to log in to your play data up to 10 times.

*Please be aware that if upon reinstalling the game you mistakenly create new play data, then link that data to an SNS account, any existing Data Link to previous play data will be overwritten.

*Please be sure to perform the above processes under strong, stable network conditions.

*You can only link singular play data to an SNS account. Multiple instances of play data cannot be linked to the same SNS account.

*The same play data can be linked in multiple ways, including to both Facebook and Twitter.

*For information on how to obtain an SNS account, please refer to information from each respective SNS provider.

*Please make sure not to forget which SNS account you have registered your play data with.

*Please do not perform the Data Link process during the tutorial. If you do so, there is a possibility that unforeseen issues may occur during or after the tutorial.

Can player data from a Japanese account be transferred to a global account?

No, player data can not be transferred across the Japanese and global version.

Where can I download the game?

Is there any difference between Android and iOS versions?

There is no difference.
You may enjoy the game on either Android or iOS devices.

Do the in-game gems expire?

No, in-game gems do not expire.

What are the payment methods available for gem purchases?

・For iOS Devices
You may purchase using the payment method registered under your Apple ID.
・For Android Devices
You may purchase using the payment method displayed in Google Play Store.
*In case of any queries regarding payment method or change of payment method, please contact the customer service team of Apple or Google depending on your OS.

Where can I change my profile name?

You may change your profile name by going to:

Where can I check my Friend Code?

You may check your Friend Code by going to:

What can I do if the game data downloading is stuck?

Please try the following solutions.
・Try again with a better network environment
・Switch to another network (Wi-Fi/4G)
・Clear cache
*Go to Title Screen > MENU >Clear Cache
・Restart the application
・Allocate more space to your device storage
・Close other applications in the background

What can I do if the game is running slow?

Please try the following solutions.
