First Vanguard Adjustments as of FEB 1st 2021

The following First Vanguard (FV) card abilities are scheduled to change as of FEB 1st 2021 (Mon) PST during maintenance.

These 3 cards share the same characteristic of being able to retire the opponent’s FV early in fights with a relatively low cost.
They can be set as the default FV and therefore players need not bear the risk of being unable to draw them and use their abilities.
With the likelihood of FVs being easily retired by these units, players are less willing to use deck archetypes built around FV abilities despite the growing number of said decks.
For this reason, we have revised the above 3 cards’ abilities so that they can no longer retire FV (Grade 0) units.
As a side note, though Kagero‘s [Seal Dragon, Terrycloth] also has the ability to retire the opponent’s FV, its ability is not being adjusted this time since this unit is a key card for Seal Dragon decks and players have to bear the risk of giving their opponent an advantage with this card’s ability.
